Celebrating in Covid times.

Updated: Jan 30, 2021

Well Hello there, we've made it another week.

Its needless to say that the Covid-19 pandemic has change the way we do pretty much EVERYTHING, including the way we celebrate.

But life keeps going, Birthdays are still happening .Babies, graduations, retirements, weddings...you get the point. So we took a minute, We adjusted and found ways to make those moments special and bring normalcy to life even if it was for just for a little while.

Drive by celebrations, very small gatherings and zoom parties are the way things need to be done for now, but that doesn't mean you can't have the usual party flair.

Your favorite restaurants are still offering amazing food, and they need your support now more than ever. And let me tell you, they have come up with great and affordable ways for you to not only get your faves but make it even easier to share with your loved ones, individually packaging, family style meals, offering curb side pick up and delivery.

I for instance, have been doing a lot of individually packaged cookies, cupcakes, cake pops and even pre-sliced cakes. And yes it hasn't been easy for any of us but if there is anything I have learn being in the food industry is that we are resilient,I mean how do you think we do what we do??? over booked restaurant, short staffed and one of the deliveries its still not here with 2 hrs to open...walk in the park...(well, not really but no one in the front of the house would ever notice.)or how about someone forgot to put an order in and you only have 20 min to put a cake together...No Problem. However we can't make it happen without our customers support.

The big chains will make it, but there are Mom and Pop shops closing down every day in our communities, and yes may be you don't have events going on every week, or may be doing take out is not in the budget this week, but there are a lot of things you can do like telling people about this really cool baker that can pretty much do anything (wink, wink) or you can share their profile on social media, even leaving a review helps. its those little things that can make a difference and trust me when I tell you every little thing counts, if there is anything that we can take away from 2020 is that Together we can through anything.

So be safe, be kind, stay healthy and don't forget to keep on making Food memories.
